If You Plan to Spray Against Stink Bugs...

Stink Bugs Solution Guide

When you get right down to it, there are worse things to have in your house than stink bugs. The small, heavily armored bugs are not going to hurt anything, and they do not mean to bother you.

So, while there is nothing wrong with them, there is also no reason why you should have to put up with them. If they get in your house, you are going to want to get rid of them.

You do have a few options. Some people swear by vacuuming them up. This has plenty of validity, but going over every inch of a house and sucking up every single bug can be very time consuming.

A more effective way - at least in the short term - is to have the house sprayed.

If you choose to go this route, you will want to choose a day when your entire family is not home. To make sure that you have gotten all of the bugs, you will need to have the entire house sprayed. After the initial spraying, it will take a little while before the fumes have abated.

When you are looking for a spray, think twice before choosing an organic bug spray. The nice thing about the organic sprays is that you do not have to worry about them harming your children or your pets. The problem is that most organic sprays do not seem to have much of an impact on the stink bugs either.

While there are some organic bug sprays that are supposed to eliminate these bugs, most of them do not work very well. Most simply make the stinkbug woozy for a short period of time. To truly eliminate them, you will have to use a spray that is non-organic but effective.

It is really important that you move your furniture and spray underneath it. Stink bugs love areas that have little hidey holes where they can hang out.

Since they are garden pests, you should also make sure that you spray anywhere that you keep your house plants. Another favorite hiding place is the folds of curtains. When you are spraying, you should not be surprised if you have to spray more than once, as these insects are surprisingly resilient.

For those of you who have read some of my other articles and even my downloadable guide, you known that I prefer to use other methods than spraying to get rid of these critters.
