The Killing of Stink Bugs

DO NOT under any circumstances crush, stomp or squash stink bugs in or around your home. This will result in the release of their chemical pheromone, which will attract other stink bugs and encourage further infestation.

It is imporant to follow proper stink bug eradication and disposal methods in order to prevent further infestation. Though it feels personally gratifying, killing them in this manner should be avoided at all costs!

The Preferred Method

Stink bugs do not like water to begin with, and a soapy solution will actually penetrate their armor and cause them to die within seconds. Try creating a solution of 50 percent water with 50 percent liquid detergent. Spray the resulting mixture on individual bugs when necessary. This can be very effective on those that congregate on screen doors/windows and siding.
