If you discover that you have stinkbugs in your house, you need to get out the vacuum. Sucking up the insects is one of the best forms of bug control. Not only does the vacuuming remove the bugs from the house, it also means you won't be exposing your pets and family members to any potentially toxic chemicals. It is not going to be enough to just vacuum the floor space that you can reach easily. You need to move all the furniture and vacuum the entire house.

If the vacuuming does not rid of all the stinkbugs that have moved into the house, consider a dusting treatment. This is especially useful when the bugs have gotten into the attic or eaves. One of the reasons so many homeowners like a dust treatment is because it lasts for about 12 weeks.

Keep in mind that when they do get into the house, the bugs like to hide. Favorite hiding places include places like the back sides of the curtains and in drawers. Many homeowners opt to have an exterminator come and deal with the problem, but this unfortunately usually results in only short term relief.
