Stink Bugs Solution Guide

Some experts claim that the stink bug is physically incapable of biting, but I have heard from too many readers who claim otherwise.

So the short answer is ... yes, stink bugs do bite humans. Of course, the stink bug's first line of defense is the release of their odorous chemical toxin, which acts primarily to discourage predators from attacking it.

But if a stink bug considers itself threatened by a human or other creature, it can and will bite. The bite can be painful, especially for young children or pets.

Luckily, the stink bug's bite is not poisonous and will not cause any long-term effects.

Stink Bug Bite Care:

After being bitten by a stink bug, the affected area usually breaks out similar to a blister or rash. The bite area should be treated like any other non-poisonous bug bite. Keep the area clean to avoid infection.
